Hi! My name is Deana Hansler and I am the Middle School Special Education teacher.

Here are a few facts about me:

1. I was born and raised in Central California and lived there until 2011. My family and I lived in the Sierra 20161005_163154Mountains and enjoyed the small town life of a mountain community. We then moved to St. George, Utah for 4 years before making our way to the great state of North Dakota. We love small town living and have enjoyed meeting so many wonderful people here.

2. I am married, have 3 daughters, and 2 grandchildren. My oldest daughter and my grandchildren live in Utah, the middle daughter lives in Texas, and our youngest daughter lives in North Dakota. I am so thankful for technoVZM.IMG_20160723_195537logy that allows us to video chat often!!

3. I enjoy traveling, reading, and learning about new cultures through cooking ethnic foods. I really like spicy foods and my favorites are Thai and Mexican food, YUM! I also especially love dark chocolate :) One of my favorite places to visit is the Pacific Ocean because I love the relaxing sound of the waves.

4. I graduated from Western Governors University in 2016 with my degree in Special Education K-12 and Elementary Education. While my degree is very important to me, I really value my life experiences and the wisdom that I have gained and feel that my experiences help me be a better teacher.

5. My name is pronounced Dee-na and yes it does look like it should be Deanna, lol.Special Education
