NLC 2024 FBLA

The Stanley Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) National Leadership Conference was held June 29 - July 2 in Orlando, FL. Roughly 16,000 participants from across the United States and abroad attended this exciting conference to enhance their business skills, expand their networks, and participate in more than 100 business-related events. 12 students from Stanley High School qualified to attend this year’s conference in a record breaking 13 events for our local organization.

The Stanley chapter stood out at the competition, securing two of the seven national awards presented to North Dakota. Mya Mortensen placed first in Computer Applications (National Champion) and Aryanna C. placed eighth in Spreadsheets. The Partnership with Business Project team, comprising Ella Mortensen, Aryanna C., and Corra Bell, achieved outstanding success by advancing to the finals, ranking among the top 15 teams in this event. This is even more impressive since only four events from North Dakota advanced to the final rounds. Payton Lystad received the Young Leader Award and was part of the Parade of Chapters representing North Dakota at the Opening Ceremony. As a Chapter, Stanley received the Gold Seal Chapter award and was a Gold Champion Chapter.

In addition to attending and competing at the conference, Stanley members were able to enjoy the city of Orlando by going to Universal, Top Golf, Sea World, and other activities. We would like to thank the community for their support of FBLA and a special thank you to our business sponsors: Farmers Union Insurance, Fladeland Supply Inc., Moca by Becc, MWEC, Norman M.
