CTE in Memorial Hall

Select members of the Stanley Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America shared their projects at the State Capitol on February 6, 2023. Career and Technical Education provides students with the academic and technical skills, knowledge and training necessary to succeed in future careers and to become lifelong learners. Each year under Perkins V, Congress appropriates roughly $1.2 billion in State formula grants and over $30 million in competitive discretionary grants specified in the law for the improvement of career and technical education (CTE) programs across the nation. Macee Jones represented FBLA as State Treasurer, McKenna Jones shared her business plan she created in her Business Ownership and Careers class, and Corra Bell, Ella Mortensen, and Lara Lane shared their American Enterprise Day project. State legislators and workers at the Capitol visited the tables set up in Memorial Hall from 7:30am – 1:30 pm. Our students were also able to sit in and watch part of the day’s legislative session in the Senate and meet Governor Burgum. Up next for FBLA is the State Leadership Conference held in Bismarck April 2-4.
