Lost and Found
Sixth graders have been working all year completing timed math tests. Pictured are the members of the 400 club (they solved 100 problems in 4 operation in 3 minutes) and 800 club (200 problems in 4 operations in 3 minutes). Great job, sixth grade mathematicians!

In the process of cleaning out lockers and the locker room at the High School, many items have found their way to the lost and found table in the front entry. There are many name brand items and clothes/shoes that are in good shape. Any items not claimed by 3:00 pm on Friday, May 23rd will be donated. Please stop by or have your child check for any missing shoes, bags, or articles of clothing.

Reminder - Thursday and Friday are Final Test Days for students in grades 7-12. All students in grades 7/8 will be taking their finals. Students in grades 9-12 are exempted based on their attendance and grades. (A = 4 absences or less, B = 3 absences or less, C = 2 absences or less) Students in grades 9-12 were provided a sheet this morning that listed which tests they needed to take. Please ask your child for this paper when they arrive home this evening. If students do not need to take their tests, this is not a time to socialize, as the rest of their classmates will be testing. If your child has an hour where they do not need to test, they are not required to be at the school. However, if they would like a place to stay and study they should report to the office and we will provide a supervised location for studying. Students should not gather in the hallways, in the gym, or remain in classrooms if they are not testing. The last day of school is a half day with a grab and go lunch. If your child would like to be dismissed before the end of lunch, you need to call the high school or email Camie.Anderson@k12.nd.us. Additionally, students are able to pick up their schedules for next year. If any changes need to be made, we will address those changes during registration days in August. Please watch the website as that time draws near.

💛 Fundraiser in Memory of Jacob Hynek 💛 We are honored to announce that we raised $16,239 in memory of our beloved friend, Jacob Hynek, whose courage, humor, and kindness continue to inspire us every day. Jacob touched the hearts of everyone who knew him. Though his life was far too short, his strength and spirit live on in our school community. To honor one of Jacob's last wishes , for us to help make a difference for other children and families facing childhood cancer, we are so very honored, humbled and appreciative of everyone who came together to raise money. 🎗️ Every donation, no matter the size, helps carry Jacob’s legacy forward by supporting the fight against childhood cancer. Thank you for your support and love. 💛

The Last Day of School is Friday, May 23rd. Both the elementary and high school will dismiss at 12:00 pm. Elementary students will need to bring their own lunch for picnic day (they will not be serving lunch in the elementary cafeteria). High school students will finish final tests at 11:33 and a "grab and go" lunch will be available. If parents of high school students want their child to leave at 11:33, they MUST contact the high school office via phone or email to let them know the student is able to leave at that time. Buses will pick up at the elementary school at noon, then pick up at the high school at approximately 12:10 pm.

Update for Bus #17 riders in the John Rian Addition: Knife River Construction has offered to escort our bus through the construction zone so there will be no changes to the pickup points for Prairie Drive. We will go back to the same locations we have been stopping at throughout this school year.

Families who live on Prairie Drive in the John Rian Addition: Bus #17 will not be driving on Prairie Drive during the street repair. In the afternoon, the bus will come in from the east (81st Ave NW) on Quail Run Drive. That street connects to Knife River Drive, where it will make it's normal stop. The bus will then continue along Adeline and Noma. In the mornings, the bus will come from Old Hwy 2, along Noma, on Adeline to the corner of Knife River and Adeline (regular route) but then exit the Rian Addition via Quail Run Drive. Bus 17 will not travel on Prairie Drive until further notice.

The finals schedule for students in grades 7-12 is posted below. Students in grades 7 and 8 must take the finals. Students in grades 9-12 are exempted based on their grades and attendance. Students with more than 4 absences must take the final. A = 4 absences or less B = 3 absences or less C = 2 absences or less D/F = must take the final For students who are exempted from finals, please know Thursday and Friday are for testing purposes. This is not a good time to be at the school just to visit friends. Your friends will be testing. If you are choosing to stay in class, you will be expected to take the final. If you are at the school for finals and have a period where you are exempted from the test, you are expected to come to the office for that hour to ensure that the hallways/classrooms stay free of distractions. Also, on Friday, students dismiss at 11:33 for lunch. Buses will arrive shortly after noon. If your child would like to leave at 11:33, we need parent permission. Otherwise students are expected to stay for the lunch period of 11:33 - Noon.
