Please remind your students to check the lost and found table at the high school! We have backpacks, lunch boxes, clothing, and *so many shoes* waiting to be claimed. These items cost families money, and we want to get them back to their rightful owners. Parents are also welcome to stop in our entryway to look through the items. Please encourage your child to check the table before the semester ends! 💙👟🧥

Mrs. Verano’s 7th graders have been diving into the body systems, and today they had a very special visitor — Dr. Carol Hynek, a Doctor of Nursing Practice and Family Nurse Practitioner from Mountrail County Medical Center.
Students learned about the heart’s electrical activity, the warning signs of a heart attack, and how to take care of their overall health. Dr.Hynek also introduced them to hyperlipidemia, which means having high cholesterol, and explained why it’s important to make healthy food choices.
The students even had the chance to use stethoscopes and listen to their classmates’ heartbeats! They were incredibly engaged and asked thoughtful questions.
What a great day of learning for our future scientists! ❤️

Stanley High School Student Council is partnering with Vitalant to host a school blood drive on Wednesday, December 17th in the high school commons. If you’re able, please consider donating—your 20 minutes could help save a life.
To make things easy, you can click the link or scan the QR code to schedule your appointment. Students 16+ (with parent permission) and all staff are welcome.
Even if you can’t donate, stop by to cheer on our donors and help us spread the word. Let’s show what our school community can do when we come together!
Mrs. Verano’s Science class has been learning about the excretory system, and we recently took that lesson a step further! We examined a pig kidney to better understand how blood is filtered and how urine is produced. The kids were amazed at how big the pig kidneys were and fascinated by the structures inside. Hands-on learning at its best!
