In order to be as proactive as possible, we are working to be prepared IN CASE we need to move to yellow. At this point, we have NO IMMEDIATE INTENTION of changing our daily format. Again, this is just to prepare IN CASE things change in our county. In order to help with this POTENTIAL transition, we need to gather as information. To be clear, it is our intent to operate in Phase 1 as long as possible, but we also must be prepared in the event we have to move to distance learning. Please use this link to access the survey:

Mrs. Stafslien’s 3rd graders and their student teacher (Mrs. Wenger) took a nature walk today observing different plants. They searched for all of the things a plant needs to grow and parts of the plants like roots, stems, and leaves. Even our distance learners came along! What a beautiful day to explore nature! 🌱☀️

Fall sports pictures will take place Tuesday, September 8th. Order forms are available in the office or click on the attachment provided.

It appears that the feed from Watford City is experiencing problems. I will send out another message if I am informed that it becomes active.
If your child is showing 2 or more symptoms, they need to stay home for 10 days from onset of symptoms (even if they are feeling better), OR they need to have a negative covid test and be feeling better, OR they need to have a note from a doctor saying their symptoms are related to another issue and they can be allowed back in school. We need your cooperation with this in order to keep our students and staff healthy. It is our goal to stay physically in school as long as possible and adherence to this is critical. There is additional information on our website.
Parents, please alert us if your child is home ill and will be learning from home. We need to have record of this. If you have not previously selected distance learning as an option, your child should be physically present in school unless they are showing symptoms. Your child cannot move back and forth at will. This makes it impossible for our teachers to keep track of their learners.

Stanley Public School is pleased to announce that all students are eligible to receive FREE breakfast and lunch until further notice.
The United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) announced on Monday that it would allow schools to serve free meals to kids until December 31, 2020 or until federal funding runs out. Effective immediately, all Stanley students will receive a free breakfast and lunch.
Stanley Schools will continue to track when students eat breakfast or lunch via their lunch accounts. Although students will not be charged, current funds in a student’s account can be held until USDA funding is exhausted.
Are students who are distance learning eligible for free meals?
Yes. However, you must call the appropriate school (high school or elementary school) to let them know you want a meal and to find out what time you can pick up your meal.
Should our family still apply for free or reduced meals?
YES, families still must submit applications for free and reduced meals as the USDA funding could run out prior to December 31. If no approved application is on file, families will automatically become full pay once federal funding runs out. So, please continue to submit free and reduced price meals applications.
JH Football @ Watford City (5pm) will be played at their high school, and they will stream it using the link found at the end of this message. There will be no restrictions for fans. As always, remember to maintain social distancing.
