In a effort to offer more seamless instruction during COVID, we will start school on Wednesday, August 26th. The delayed start will provide our teachers with the time they need to prepare for dual instruction, both online and face-to-face. An updated school calendar can be found at https://5il.co/j62o
Hi Stanley Parents,
With school just around the corner, the math department would like to talk about calculators. Each math teacher has a shared classroom set, and we do have a plan to disinfect these between each class. If we digress in our Covid safety level, we may lose the sharing opportunity.
If you would like to provide your child with a personal calculator, you may do so. IT IS NOT REQUIRED, but could be recommended.
These are the calculators that we are using:
Jr. High, PreAlgebra, Algebra 1, Geometry, and Applied Math:
~~ TI-30xIIs - Scientific Calculator

Algebra 2, PreCalc, Calc:
~~TI-84 Plus - Graphing Calculator. **this is a fairly expensive calculator (around $120), but it will be required in college math, so it could be considered an investment.

You may want a folder system of your liking, but most work will be completed digitally. You will need a backpack large enough to hold books for three classes. Teachers are currently putting together any additional supply needs for their classrooms. More information will be sent out later this week.

NDHSAA announces the reopening of fall athletics. Safety guidelines have not been announced yet and will be released as soon as they are available. Go BlueJays
We want to thank all of our students, staff, and families for their patience as we plan to resume school this fall. As you all probably know, Governor Burgum released the ND Smart Restart Guidance for schools yesterday. The guidelines from the state provided for local control and decision making by school boards and administrators in consultation with educators, staff, local public health officials, and families.
The decisions on how to open school safely will be based on guidance from the North Dakota Department of Health, US Centers for Disease Control, and other sources.
The guidelines require districts to present two plans to the school board for approval before any student services can be conducted this fall. Both plans will be published on the district’s web site.
School administrators will now begin the process of planning for returning to school this fall. As mentioned previously, we will be seeking input from families. In the coming days we will be sending out a link to a survey for families to share their thoughts and input on several key points. We will post the link to the survey on our web site, on the school’s Facebook page, and a link will be sent by text message via our alert system.
Again, thank you for your patience as we work out plans to resume school this fall.
