Stanley Public School will be uniting with other schools across the state tonight by turning on our football lights from 7pm until 9:30pm. The lights are to honor our students, staff, and community members, in this time of distance learning, while school buildings are closed due to the COVID-19 virus. The movement was started by Minnesota's High School Activities Association as a symbol of hope and assurance that students are in the hearts and minds of educators across the country. As you see the lights, the message is to assure everyone that we are still here for our students and our community. We are all in this together. The Stanley Blue Jays call on each and every one of us to unite in this time of need and pledge to come out stronger than ever. Thank you to Minnesota High School Activities Association for starting this movement and thank you to fellow North Dakota Schools for participating in this pledge of hope and unity.

Parents of junior high and high school students, if you received a call that your child was absent, it is because they have not submitted work to their teachers. During off-site learning, attendance is taken by work submitted. Please email your child's teachers if you have specific questions about their work. A reminder to parents of high school students, your child needs to submit their work in order to continue to earn credit towards their high school graduation. If you are experiencing obstacles with technology or off-site learning in any way, please contact Mrs. Pulver at alecia.pulver@k12.nd.us or 701.628.2342.

Stanley School’s off-site learning plan was approved by the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction and by the North Dakota Governor’s office. On March 19th the Governor ordered that all North Dakota schools remain closed until further notice, and those orders have not changed. Therefore, students will not be returning to our school buildings and we will continue with our off-site learning until further notice.
