Parents,
We will begin off-site learning on Monday, March 23. Off-site learning means the learning takes place outside of our building. This can be delivered to students via technology OR other means for those who do not have internet access. We are working on ways to get materials for those of you who do not have internet access. On Monday, March 23rd, please call the school or email your child's teacher if you do not have internet access.
For those with internet access, starting Monday, March 23rd, you may go to the menu on the school website and click on lesson plans.

During March 23-27, we will focus on our new method of teaching and learning. We will see what works, and what doesn't, and try to work around any obstacles. This is new to all of us - students, families, and teachers. We ask for patience and grace for yourself, your children, and our staff. Please contact your child's teacher (or call the school office) if you are experiencing any obstacles or frustrations of any kind. We cannot improve our method of delivery if we do not have an understanding of how things are working out at home. Again, this is a learning process and we anticipate adjustments will be needed.
Please do not comment on our Facebook posts and expect an answer. If you have any questions, contact the teacher, principal, or school directly.

Stanley Schools will be closed until at least April 6 - this date may be extended based on future announcements from the Governor. We will begin off site learning on Monday, March 23. Details on how our off site learning will work will be provided tomorrow (Friday, March 20).
By the order of Governor Burgum, Stanley Schools will be closed until further notice. Information on plans for future off site learning will be announced as soon as possible.
Parents, we ask for your patience as we work to get your items from the lockers today. We have a number of people who are helping us retrieve items, but it will take some time. Just a reminder, parents and students are not allowed in the building. We will bring the items out to you.
You do not need to clean out everything from their lockers, just what they will need for the next week or two, in the event that we have an extended school closing.

Parents, please ensure that if your child is a 4th grader or older, they know their passwords and can log into their K-12 email accounts (not their powerschool). If we educate offsite, your child will need access to their emails and the Microsoft office suite. If your child cannot log in, please call their school as soon as possible so we can get their passwords to you.
In an effort to prepare for a possible extended school closure, we are offering times for parents/students to retrieve items from lockers on Thursday, March 19th. The public will not be allowed in the building. We will have employees go to the lockers to get the items you need and hand them to you. We do not want people waiting in the vestibule. Make a line of cars by the front door and we will come to you. Elementary parents, line up on the street facing west in front of the main entrance. High School parents, line up in front of the building facing south.
Please use the following schedules for pick up times. We understand you may have more than one student in our buildings. If that is the case, you will be allowed to get the items for all of your children at one stop. Thank you.

Summary of today's work:
Stanley teachers met to discuss ways to deliver education off site if mandated school closures are required. Teachers are now in the planning phase for this scenario. Surveys were conducted via phone to determine internet and technology availability in students' homes. Plans are in progress to address ways to get technology to students, if needed.
We are also working on the option of safe reentry to school if the Governor allows school to resume on Monday. We will keep you informed of any plans as needs arise.
Our school will provide lunches/breakfasts for students. As announced earlier, sack lunches/breakfasts will be available for pickup at the elementary front door from 11am - 1pm starting tomorrow, March 18.
With school not being in session, SACK bags were delivered to homes this afternoon! Our Program is ready to do what it takes in the coming weeks to help out any families who need weekly bags. Thank you to our area churches, Mountrail County Health Foundation, Cashwise, and Joyce’s for you help and support!!

Parents, we are trying to call all families to complete a survey about access to technology and need for lunches during a possible school closure. Please watch for this phone call, if you are able. Your information is critical to our plans moving forward.

Please e-mail us regarding any questions you have about Reading or Math concerning our Title students. Try to incorporate Reading and Math in everyday activities with your child- board games, cards, puzzles, cooking, baking, storytime, "I-Spy", have kids teach you something they have learned at school, etc. Keep it fun, enjoyable, and stress free!

Stanley Schools will be offering lunch during the school closure starting Wednesday, March 18. A to-go bag which will include lunch for that day and a breakfast for the following morning can be picked up by parents or students at the front door of the Elementary School from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. All high school and elementary meals are to be picked up at the front door of the elementary school. A school staff member will be watching and will bring meals out to the vehicle. Students will not be allowed in the school to eat their meals.
