Stanley High School Parents,
It is our pleasure to introduce a new tutoring program to the 8th period advisory time. Our goal is to assist any students that want the extra academic help. The tutors are a compilation of some of Stanley’s most academically outstanding students. We support any students that want to make the commitment to show up and be respectful to the tutors, to apply for this program. They can come to Mrs. Camino’s room for the application and any additional information.
Thank you,
Mrs. Camino and Lara Lane

This week your Blue Jays are celebrating Red Ribbon Week. We kicked off the week by wearing red along with our red ribbons. Our theme this year is "Every Day is a Choice: Live Drug-Free!"
Today we learned about finding ways release dopamine (the feel good chemical) in our brain to create a natural high. We named the things we love to do that keep us choosing healthy choices instead of turning to drugs and alcohol to feel good. Our schools are filled with posters about our natural high and anti-drug activities!
Here is an article on tips on how families can cope together in healthy ways.

Today, Mrs. Stafslien’s class were “Distributive Doctors!” 🥼
Thanks to the Mountrail County Medical Center for generously donating our scrubs & masks! The kids had to take a multiplication fact and break it down into two smaller facts to solve! They also had to cut apart arrays to represent those two smaller facts!
They did such a great job & looked like professionals! ❤️🩺

Monday 10/24 Activities:
Volleyball @ South Prairie ABC games start at 5 pm

During the month of October, SHS juniors and seniors have been working on planning after high school! Here are a few pictures of the fun we have been having!
Miss Hawbaker, Mrs. Sorenson and Mrs. Walter's took 30 students to a T-4 hands on Career Summit in Parshall. Students were able to explore different career options and talk to different employers for many different types of trades. They all loved the hands on welding activities!
Mrs. Sorenson was in the classroom for a few days with juniors and seniors working on their 4 year rolling plan and exploring career options based on student's classes, hobbies, activities, and their Myers-Briggs Personality results.
And, thanks to the Bank of ND, all seniors were given the opportunity to apply to one college in North Dakota for free on our College Application Day!
