On Friday, April 17th, there will be another opportunity for students in grades 7-12 to get items from their lockers. There are no specific time breakdowns per grade, but general pickup will go from 9am - 3:30pm. Please come and get any items you need.
We will have vehicles enter from the main parking lot on the west side of the school and drive to the east parking lot. Wait for someone to come out of door #10.

Mr. Hellman has always believed that hard work should be rewarded. As his class began their distance learning he made a deal with them: If they could go one whole week with every student checking in and working, he would shave what is left of his facial hair. The class accepted the challenge and got to watch via live video chat as Mr. Hellman shaved his mustache off today. Good work 4th graders!!

Parents of junior high and high school students:
As teachers work through their classes today, they will mark a student absent if they have not completed any work for the week for their class. A message will go out at 3:00pm if you child has been marked absent. You can log into PowerSchool to see which of your children has been marked absent and for which class. Missing assignments will be listed in their PowerSchool. If you do not have access to PowerSchool, please email alice.dusek@k12.nd.us for assistance.

Parents of Junior High and High School Students:
There has been talk among students that the off-site learning assignments 'don't count' so students do not need to complete them. These assignments DO count towards your child's class grade and potentially towards earning a credit towards graduation. Please share this information with your child so they understand the importance of completing their work.
Additionally, there was an April Fool's joke that circulated via social media that students will need to repeat their current grade. This is not true. We are educating students through the off-site learning plan so they can continue their work and advance to the next grade. Again, the completion of work will be critical in earning credit towards gradation.
Lastly, if your child needs a laptop, the school is able to lend one to you. Please email your child's building principal to make arrangements.
Parents of Seniors:
We know many of you are looking for answers about graduation. We have no further direction from the governor about when we will be back together under one roof. As we look to the future, we will hold a celebration for our graduates on Sunday, May 24 at 2pm. We don't know what that will look like now; it will depend on any social distancing restrictions we will have at that time. It is likely it will not be your typical graduation ceremony, but we will do what we can to honor our graduates in one way or another.
Parents can again use PowerSchool to track student grades. If you do not know your login/password for PowerSchool please e-mail Alice.Dusek@k12.nd.us for high school parents and Jasmynn.Halvorson@k12.nd.us for elementary school parents. Attendance will be taken weekly and will be based on completion of assignments throughout the week. Students will be counted absent if they have not completed any work.
There will be no school/assignments Friday, April 10 through Monday, April 13 for our scheduled Easter break. We will resume off-site learning on Tuesday, April 14.
Reminder that school lunches are available during this time of school closure. Lunches can be picked up from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM from Monday through Friday at the front door of the elementary school while school is closed. Meals are available for all children ages 1-18 and are available at no cost. Because of our Easter break meals will not be able to be picked up on Friday, April 10 and Monday, April 14. However, this week meals for Friday and Monday can also be picked up on Thursday.
