Essler's Human A&P students have been studying the Integumentary system (skin). They did a station lab exploring their nerve sensitivity, pain/pressure, and mapping their sweat glands! Their sweat reacted with the iodine and was absorbed on the cotton paper! They did their palm vs forearm! Every dot represented a gland! Which one has more sweat glands?!

Stanley FFA is on the road with 9 students traveling to the 92nd National FFA Convention in Indianapolis. We traveled to Wisconsin Dells the first night where students had fun at the water park and participating in several activities that our hotel offered. Then, we were off to the Beckman Mill in Beloit, Wisconsin where students were able to see how a mill that began in the 1800s was run by water power. They even got to see how they make corn meal using the original equipment today.

Friday 4th grade wrapped up our study of local government by taking a trip to the county courthouse. The kids met and sat in on District Judge Lee’s courtroom and asked him questions. We then toured the old and new courthouse with State Attorney Enget. Next the class toured the jail and sheriffs office. After a quick lunch we concluded our tours with the county auditor, recorder, and treasurer. It was quite a day!
