Stanley students are working with our Dare To Define program. It is designed to strengthen leadership skills, build resiliency, and improve self image. Teachers spent time learning about the program during an inservice on Thursday.
Students and staff will be focusing on gratitude. Focusing on gratitude is a proven way to boost a person’s joy and overall mental health. A great way to practice gratitude is to end each day by writing down three items you are thankful for.
Special thanks to the Mountrail County Health Foundation for providing funding for this important program.

Mr. Hellman’s 4th grade has been learning about the causes of the American Revolution. To help the class learn, they have been paying taxes to help offset the war with Queen Jasmynn of Jazlandia. Last Friday Jasmynn attacked King Hellman’s classroom with several propaganda posters. King Hellman’s colonists responded by turning the posters into paper airplanes and attacking Jasmynn. So far the colonists are enjoying the game but this may change as more and more unfair taxes are introduced!

Mrs. Sorenson, our high school counselor...short in stature but big in heart.
