This week the Ag 4 students have been presenting their Dream Farms to the class. Students had to come up with their perfect location, amount of acres, commodities they would like to raise, the machinery they would run, how many employees do they need and a budget to run their farm.
Time for a party! Mrs. Stafslien’s reading class finished reading the book “Because of Winn Dixie” and had a party today just like in the book! Thank you so much to the parents who helped bring in items for the kids to try! They LOVED IT! 🐶

Elementary 5/6 GBB starts tomorrow night (March 3rd) at 5pm in the Elementary Gym. 5/6 BBB is tentatively set for Monday, March 16th @ 5:30pm at the Elementary Gym. We will be sending a letter home with all male 5/6 grade students in the next couple of weeks with further details once a practice and game schedules are finalized. Go Blue Jays

Track Practice starts Monday, March 2nd @ 7:00am - bring warm clothes in case practice is outside.
Elementary Math Tip: (Gr. K-2) Think of a number for your child to guess. After each guess, respond with the words "more," "less," "higher," or "lower." This gives your child the opportunity to learn different math vocabulary and helps your child associate number words with counting sequence.

The Elementary students wrapped up the Kids Heart Challenge today with a competitive dodgeball game against the teachers and staff. In a 3 week period, students raised a record-setting total of $24,100! This money will be used by the American Heart Association to assist those in need.
CTE groups: Ag, Business, Marketing & FACS Students are joining forces to bring you Yardzee. Yardzee is a game with Jumbo handmade wooden dice. The game is played just like the classic game Yahtzee, but in the yard at the beach or campsite. This is Doris. She volunteers her time to come to the elementary school almost everyday to read with the students. She is the kindest, happiest, and most positive person. Thank you so much Doris for all that you do! EVERYONE at Stanley Elementary appreciates and loves you! ❤️
Here is the District 16 BBB Tournament bracket. If you can’t make it to the game, there is a streaming option through nfhsnetwork.com. All games will be streamed online and there is also a video on-demand option if you want to watch it later. It is $11 for a 1 month subscription. A subscription gives you access to any NFHS sponsored activity in the country, including playoffs.
There will be 2 games played today during JHBBB's match up with Burke County, 4:30 at the Elementary school. It was originally scheduled for 1 game but Burke County has enough players for 2 games tonight. Go Blue Jays
Today in Mr. Hellman’s Social Studies class the students were given a mystery box. The box was put to together by the state historical society and contains real artifacts related to Native Americans. Students got hands on time to hold, feel, and even smell the objects. The class then took a guess at what each object was and what we will be learning about. There were some great guesses!
The Stanley FFA Members would like to thank everyone that supported them during our FFA Week. We would especially like to thank American Bank Center for grilling brats for teachers and members on Friday and also to Marilyn Gaebe for donating cupcakes to all of the members this week! We appreciate all of the community involvement and the students enjoyed their special week. If you want to support our chapter this week, on Wednesday, February 26th, we will have our annual Pie Social at the Mountrail County Ag Improvement Farm and Ranch Day. The FFA Officers will also be at Tractor Supply on Wednesday morning handing out treats, so come out to the store to donate to the Grants for Growing event by buying and FFA Emblem!
