The 3rd graders had a special guest today! Krista Littlefield spoke to the class about Scandinavia by showing them pictures from when she lived there, bringing in items for them to look at, and a tasty treat to eat! The 3rd graders will be going to the Norsk Hostfest on Friday. Thank you so much Krista for coming in! 🇳🇴🇮🇸🇸🇪🇫🇴🇫🇮

Grammar lessons are integrated in segments during writing. With their personal narrative, 9th graders in English review comma placement. You can do an escape room activity about commas? Yup! Today's code unlocked: "Life is a series of commas, not periods." -Matthew McConaughey

SSR Fridays is what's happening in English 10--students read a book of their choosing, and at the end of each 9-week session, they participate in book talks to report and recommend. When it's Friday, and it's a rainy day, sometimes you just curl up with a good book and READ!

Elementary Math Tip: When your child brings home math homework, ask them to explain what they are supposed to do. Their response should give you a good idea if they're able to do the assignment on their own or if they need help. As they're working, ask them to explain their problem-solving process, encouraging the use of math language. You can find the math language your child is learning at the beginning of each math lesson.
