Hey Stanley parents! With the school year approaching, I know many of you may be traveling to Minot to do your supply shopping. Since there isn’t a Junior High supply list, I wanted to let you know what your 7th and 8th graders would need for Math class.
- 1” 3-ring binder (to remain in my classroom)
- packet of loose leaf paper (in the binder)
- composition notebook (dedicated only to math)
- pocket folder
- pencils and erasers
They will not need a calculator, compass, ruler, protractor, or coloring supplies. I have these for them. If your student is unable to obtain supplies, please just have them talk to me on the first day of school.
Happy Summer!

Sometimes we get caught up in all the things that are bad in our world. We let the darkness steal our light. We forget to stop and truly see the good in our lives. Yesterday, that is where I was at. The past month we have heard about all the hurt that is happening at SHS...and I wonder if we got lost in that pain and we forgot to look for the good? Well, yesterday I left my office while 2 students were getting some coffee from my keurig. When I came back in they were gone but they left me a surprise that brought tears to my eyes and light into the darkness. Words written on the coffee cups that gave me hope. Words that reminded me that there is so much good in our school, in our community and in our world. We just need to stop and look and listen for it...and then go share it with others. Darkness will not overcome the light. #bethelight
