Today in Mr. Hellman’s math class the students discussed how math can be powerful. The class brainstormed ways that math is used in every day life including things such as Engineering, professional sports, retail and more. It was a great lesson for students to see that math is everywhere, especially fractions when dividing a pizza!
Elementary Cross Country starts on Monday, August 21. Information going home with students today.

The first day of school, August 16th, is a full day. Wednesday's are typically our early dismissal day, but the first day of school will be a regular, full school day with dismissal at the elementary at 3:30 and at the high school at 3:41.
Reminder to all parents/guardians that the school doors are open to students starting at 8am. The drop off location for non-bus riding students is at the main office. If you are dropping off students, please pull over to the south side of the building in an orderly fashion, and have your students exit from your vehicle doors nearest to the sidewalk, if possible. This drop off zone is not for parking. If you plan to leave your vehicle for any reason, please use the parking lot located west of the main office. Please obey all traffic signs and follow directions from designated crossing guards. You are welcome to walk your students to their classroom for the first day of school, but all other days need to have office approval before you are allowed to enter the building. We are excited to see your students fill the hallways once again and look forward to a great school year.
Senior Parents & Work Experience Employers - There is a Senior Parent meeting at 5:00pm and a Work Experience Parent/Employer meeting at 5:30pm on Tuesday, August 22nd.
The JV football game @ Killdeer Monday, August 21st at 6:30pm has been canceled. Killdeer doesn't have enough players out to play this game.
The Junior High game will instead be a 4 team Jamboree scrimmage with Stanley, Killdeer, Beulah and Trinity. This will start at 4:00 pm MST.
Open House for Stanley Elementary School and Stanley Junior-Senior High School on Tuesday, August 15th from 5:00-6:00 pm at both buildings. Due to limited time, we prefer that lunch and/or activity fees be paid either prior to the open house, or online.
Stanley Schools Town Bus Route Information: We do not provided door-to-door bus service for families, but do have designated stop points throughout town. Those designated stops are as follows-

The football scrimmage with Harvey that was scheduled for this Saturday (8/12) has been changed to Friday (8/11). The football scrimmage will start at 10:00 A.M. We apologize for the short notice and inconvience but it was decided that two consecutive days of rest would be best for our players with football starting so early this year and our first game with Killdeer coming up next week. Be sure to come out and support your Stanley Blue Jays this Friday at 10:00 A.M. in their scrimmage against Harvey.
Class of 2023! Below you will find the steps you need to take in order for your scholarships from Stanley Scholarship Fund, Inc to be sent to your college. Stanley Public Schools is looking to build our list of substitute teachers and substitute para-educators. The para-sub rate is $15 per hour. Licensed substitute teacher rate is $150 per day. Para-subs and substitute teachers are needed in our district. Substitutes have the ability to select the days they would like to work and stay as busy as their schedule allows.
If you are interested in becoming a licensed substitute teacher, please see the following link. The 2022-2023 yearbooks are in. Seniors who graduated in May can pick up their yearbooks in the high school office. Everyone else will receive theirs when school starts. There are limited extra copies that can be purchased at the high school office. First come first serve.
