School Counselors are here to help students in three areas: Academic, Personal/Social, and Post-secondary planning. We are advocates for our students' wellbeing. We are not here to fix it all, we are here to help our students navigate obstacles with confidence! Yesterday we celebrated our students and had "Dress like Mrs.Sorenson Day" at the high school!

Did you know that your school counselors, Mrs. Cuypers and Mrs. Sorenson, graduated from graduate school at UND together? They would often be put in "random breakout" groups to work together on projects. And then a couple of years after graduation, they ended up being a school counseling team together at Stanley Public Schools! Being a school counselor is a dream come true for the both of them! They LOVE all of their students and their staff!

Mr. Hellman’s 4th graders have been learning about the terrible food during the Civil War. Today they had the opportunity to try hard tack. Needless to say they were happy they didn’t have to eat it every day!
