Town bus stops: pickup locations and times are much the same as last year. Bus drivers will not be contacting families of the students in town before tomorrow. We do not know exactly who will be at each stop. Refer back to a previous post to see the designated town stops. Have your child there by 7:45 am. After the first few days, you will be able to see exactly what time the bus is anticipated to be at your stop.

Attached are maps of the bus pickup stops located in the City of Stanley. Stops are marked with a red "X". Please have your children at the stops and ready by 7:50. We can adjust times for pickup once the bus route is more routine. The stop at Connie's Daycare will be in the alley during the time of construction on 4th Street SE. 📢 New Technology Policy – Grades 7–12 💻

Starting this school year, students may no longer bring personal laptops or computers to school.

Every student will be assigned a school-issued device to use during the day.
This change will help reduce distractions from messaging apps, games, and social media, and ensure that all students have the correct software and safeguards to stay on task.

✅ Important Notes:
• Students in college classes may use a personal device for that class only.
• All Stanley High School classes must be completed on a school-issued device.
• Devices will be distributed at the start of the year.
• Students are responsible for any damage to their assigned device.

Let’s start the year focused, prepared, and ready to succeed! 💙📚

📢 New State Law: 📱 Cell Phone & Smart Device Policy

A new North Dakota law requires all student cell phones to be turned off and stored during the school day. At Stanley High School, this means phones must be powered off and kept in lockers.

⌚ Smartwatches must be in airplane mode to avoid distractions.
🎧 Wireless earbuds are not allowed. Students may use wired headphones only. Junior high students will need USB-C headphones to work with their Chromebooks.

🚫 Violation Consequences:
• 1st Offense: Parent must pick up the phone.
• 2nd Offense: Parent pick-up + detention until 4:15 PM
• 3rd+ Offense: Parent pick-up + 2-day OSS

📌If a student continues to violate the policy and reaches 10 OSS days, expulsion procedures will be initiated.

Let’s work together to keep our school environment focused and distraction-free! Thank you for your support. 💙📚
