Due to predicted weather for upcoming days and uncertainty of school delays/cancelations, elementary families that receive SACK food services may pick up bags today (Tuesday April 12th) at the Elementary School Main Office. I will be in the building until 12pm. After 12pm, please call the main office 701-628-2422 or message my work phone, 701 629-5111 to check on my availability. My plan is to leave once the weather starts to move in, so after 12pm please check to see if I am available before traveling to the school. Cashwise also has gift cards available for SACK families at their Guest Services Desk.

This week Stanley Schools has a planned early dismissal on Wednesday, April 13. The elementary school will dismiss at 12:20pm and the high school at 12:30pm. Also, a reminder there is no school on Friday, April 15th. However, we will have school on Monday, April 18th as a make-up school day for the day we took off in January. That being said, a blizzard warning has already been issued for this coming week. There is a good chance there will be early dismissals, late starts, and/or school cancellations this week. In those instances, we will send notices out by Facebook, our school app, and by text messages to parents/guardians.

Stanley ESports team toured UND this morning and visited with ESports Director, Travis Isbell. Mr. Isbell was a professional Esports competitor in Korea for 10 years. Students toured the future college competition space and learned about joining the UND team where scholarship opportunities are being developed. After touring the collegiate competition area, Stanley Blue Jays toured the intramural ESports area at the UND Wellness Center. ESports is a growing opportunity for students in high school and colleges. Our students were excited to see and learn about what is offered at the collegiate level.
