Semester finals are set for December 15 and 16 at the high school. All junior high students will be taking their finals those days. Students in grades 9-12 may be exempt if their grades and attendance are within exemption requirements. Permission slips for exemptions were sent home today. Teachers will initial their class period if your child is exempt for that hour. Per school policy, teachers may require a student to take the final for their class. If the class period is highlighted, students are required to take the final in that period. Permission slips must be returned with a parent signature and teacher signatures for your child to be exempt that day. If you have any questions, please call the office directly. We do not have the resources to monitor this post for questions.

Reminder to parents to pull to the nearest available area that allows access to a sidewalk when dropping your students off before and after school. Please refrain from dropping your students off in driving lanes. We have staff available to help students at the crosswalks if you have to cross the street to safely park.
Please make sure your students are coming to school and back home with appropriate winter dress. Students will be outside for recess until temperatures/wind chill reach -13 F. Students should come to school with boots, hats, gloves, winter jackets, and face coverings. If assistance is needed to purchase required clothing, dont hesitate to contact our office. Also, please remember to check that winter items are also coming home with them as well. We have a number of lost and found items in the office area that have been unclaimed for quite some time.

"The court is adjourned!"
Senior forensics have concluded the 2021 mock trials. After two months of dedication and case preparation, these tenacious seniors came ready to battle it out in the courtroom. The lawyers commanded the floor with confidence and poise. The witnesses took the stand delivering expert testimony to the court. Verdict deliberation was a challenge.
Please smash those thumbs up! These seniors demonstrated team collaboration, management, and thinking on their feet. The courtroom buzzed with problem solving and objections.
A special thanks to Wade Enget for taking on the role as judge. His insight and guidance made this learning experience meaningful and authentic. Reminder for bus students- please be sure to wear a coat, hat, mittens/gloves, and boots on the bus. Snow pants are also a good idea. Temperatures drop quickly if the bus unexpectedly becomes stranded. We want all our students to stay safe and warm during cold weather season.

Students and the elementary school had the opportunity to observe critters up close today when the Roosevelt Zoo from Minot brought in 2 of their animals. Students met Tom the milk snake and Speedy the turtle. Students visited with 2 zookeepers and learned about animal adaptations, observed the animals and had the chance to pet them.
