Mrs. Faul’s 1st Graders & Mrs. Wenger’s 6th graders have been pairing up once a month to read. 📚 Today they got together to make a fun Valentine’s Day craft! ❤️
3rd graders in Mrs. Stafslien’s Social Studies classes completed a unit learning all about Ellis Island, ancestors, immigration, and the Statue of Liberty! 🗽
The classes packed suitcases with what they would bring with them if they traveled to America for a new opportunity.
They created postcards to send to the ones they left behind.
They virtually toured Ellis Island and observed pennies made of copper and how to patina them.
The Statue of Stafslien also made an appearance! 😁
Mrs. Drosdal ‘s & Ms. Albertson’s classes team up for an unforgettable project. The high school students were able to choose a first grade level reading book, and then they read their books to our first grade friends! The first graders then chose their favorite character in the book and made a drawing of the character. Students in the high school clothing design class then got to work by hand sewing and machine sewing the 1st graders character. High school and elementary school students were all overjoyed as the characters were presented, check out some of the finished characters!
