Parents of students in grades 7-12: If your child came home missing a shoe or suspiciously colder than usual—it’s time to visit the Lost and Found table! We’ve got enough stuff to open a small thrift store, but it’s all getting donated soon. Send your kids to claim their treasures!

We had the awesome opportunity to meet Mr. George Littlecreek, who brought science to life—literally—with his amplifier and speaker! He gave a fun and fascinating demonstration on how sound travels and shared cool insights about frequency and which hertz humans can actually hear. It was a perfect tie-in to our lesson on sound. The students didn’t just hear about sound waves—they felt them! Thanks to Mr. Littlecreek, they now have a deeper (and louder) understanding of how sound travels faster through solids.

Starting on May 2 until May 9, we will be honoring the memory of our friend, Jacob Hynek, by raising money to donate to Childhood Cancer research. One of Jacob's last wishes was that his family and friends continued to raise money to help other children fighting cancer. Jacob's friends, Colter and Henry, have set a fundraising goal of $5000. Help us reach this goal by donating online or participating in any of the other activities below. Donations can also be dropped off in the high school office. May 6th would've been Jacob's 15th Birthday. Marvel movies were a favorite of Jacob! On May 6th, wear yellow or marvel themed clothes, tell a few jokes to people, and do something to make someone laugh or smile...It's what Jacob would be doing. You are so greatly missed, Jacob! Easter’s not over yet! The weather might be moody, but that won’t stop the fun—to the hallways we go! Today in Mrs. Verano’s class, we’re hopping into our unit on Speed! To make learning egg-citing, students are on the hunt for hidden eggs-each one packed with a speed-related challenge. Their mission? Crack the problem as fast as they can!

On Thursday Stanley 4th graders celebrated the end of their Native Americans of ND unit with a trip to the MHA Interpretive center. This was an absolutely amazing experience with an extremely knowledgeable tour guide leading the classes through the museum. Students were able to see artifacts and displays of materials they had learned about in class and some new things as well. They even got to visit the earth lodges. It was an amazing trip!!
