Stanley Elementary School has two buddy benches (one on each playground). The purpose of the buddy bench is to foster friendships and inclusive behaviors. If a student doesn't have someone to play with at recess, they can sit on the buddy bench. This is a signal for other students to include that student in their games. It is a great opportunity to meet new friends and include other students in recess activities. Great job, Stanley Elementary.

Stanley Elementary students had the opportunity to visit a working ranch, meet some new animals and explore the different jobs on the ranch. They were also treated to a snack. Thanks so much to Amanda and Joe Hynek for welcoming our students and showing them around you ranch.

Our class has been learning about elements of folktales by reading several versions of “The Gingerbread Man!” We finished off the week having fun with GINGERBREAD STATIONS! We completed a math challenge, word search, and designed our own gingerbread man! The most FUN of all was creating our own movie version of the tale by using a green screen! 🎬
