Blue Jay Student Council members are hosting their first Vitalant Blood drive today at the high school. They are schedule to collect move than 40 units of life saving donations!!


Reminder: Kindergarten registration will be held this week, April 18-22; Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday 9:00am-3:00pm and Wednesday 9:00am-2:00pm.
Also, please see the attachment for a Free Developmental Screener for 3-5 year olds provided by the Northern Plains Special Education Unit. This will take place Friday, April 22nd @ American Lutheran Church from 8:30am-2:30pm.

Stanley School will start at the regular time tomorrow morning (Monday, April 18). Buses will run where possible.
There will be no school in Stanley on Thursday, April 14. As Friday is a holiday there will also be no school on Friday so we will plan to resume school on Monday, April 18.
There will be no school in Stanley on Wednesday, April 13.
The High School Band Concert has been moved to Thursday, April 21st at 7:00pm. This concert is for all band and drumline students in grades 7-12.
Elementary band (grades 5 & 6) will have their concert as planned on April 28th at 6pm in the elementary gym.

Due to predicted weather for upcoming days and uncertainty of school delays/cancelations, elementary families that receive SACK food services may pick up bags today (Tuesday April 12th) at the Elementary School Main Office. I will be in the building until 12pm. After 12pm, please call the main office 701-628-2422 or message my work phone, 701 629-5111 to check on my availability. My plan is to leave once the weather starts to move in, so after 12pm please check to see if I am available before traveling to the school. Cashwise also has gift cards available for SACK families at their Guest Services Desk.

Money from the fundraiser will go toward trips, new instruments, etc. Order pick up will take place on April 24th from 1-3pm at Stanley High School.

All school activities scheduled for today including the softball game, the track meet, and the band concert are canceled and/or postponed. We will post information on the new dates when we know them.
This week Stanley Schools has a planned early dismissal on Wednesday, April 13. The elementary school will dismiss at 12:20pm and the high school at 12:30pm. Also, a reminder there is no school on Friday, April 15th. However, we will have school on Monday, April 18th as a make-up school day for the day we took off in January.
That being said, a blizzard warning has already been issued for this coming week. There is a good chance there will be early dismissals, late starts, and/or school cancellations this week. In those instances, we will send notices out by Facebook, our school app, and by text messages to parents/guardians.
The Stanley Band Spring Concert is tomorrow April 12th at 7:00pm.
We are watching the weather closely and will post more information if anything changes.

OPEN GYM for any student any sport today at 3pm at the high school. You will be able to play basketball, volleyball or hit in the batting cage!!
Reminder there is an FFA Meeting Tomorrow for students 7-12 in the Ag Room during Advisory!

Congratulations to the Stanley esports team on your appearance at the first ever state competition in ND. Earning a trip to state in your first year of existence is a great accomplishment! Congrats on being in the top 4 teams in the state for Overwatch. Congrats to Kaydence and Jacob for making it to state their first year and competing with the best in North Dakota in the game of chess. We are proud of you!
