Stanley fourth graders have been learning about the Civil War. One of the things that they learned about was the food hardtack. Yesterday they got the chance to experience this wonderful food first hand. I think it’s safe to say they would prefer other meals to the Civil War delicacy!

The school board had a special meeting on January 14 to discuss the continuation of wearing masks in our school district. At this time the board decided to continue to require masks in the school buildings even if the state mandate is lifted at some point. The board’s main goal is to keep students in the building learning face-to-face as much as possible and they felt that the masks help that goal since an individual does not have to quarantine if both they and the person who has tested positive are wearing masks. The board will review the requirement to wear masks at least monthly to determine whether they will continue with the requirement.

JHBBB @ Jim Hill tonight is postponed and I am currently working on a new date for that game. JH Wrestling Mixer scheduled for tonight is still on. Tonight will be a 4:30pm start as scheduled. We will be utilizing 2 mats in the gym and 1 mat in the multi-purpose room. Fans in the gym are asked to sit in their designated locations and there will be a limitation of parents only in the multi-purpose room during their child's respective athletes match in that room. Limited concessions will be served.
