Families of seniors, we are planning an outdoor graduation ceremony at this time. The outdoor ceremony is our preference, with an indoor ceremony planned as backup in case of inclement weather. If we must have the indoor ceremony, any family members attending who live outside the state of ND must be inside the state and quarantined for 14 days before they can attend. This follows the orders set forth by the ND Deportment of Health at this time. This may change in the future, but is the order we must operate under now. We are still finalizing all of our plans and will share them with you as soon as possible.

Mr. Hellman’s math class wasn’t going to let Covid - 19 ruin their math meet fun. Today they held the first virtual math meet. It was a blast! They definitely thought outside the quadrilateral parallelogram!

Dear Senior Parents, Thank you all for your patience as we waited for direction from the state as far as how your child’s Graduation will look. This is already an emotional time for you as parents and to add uncertainty to it is difficult. Know that Administration and I are working hard to pull everything together while following the guidelines issued by the CDC and the state. The following dates and times have been confirmed. Links to the virtual events will be shared in digitally in numerous ways as soon as they are ready. Here is a list of the dates and times of senior events: · Senior Parent Meeting: TBA – Mrs. Pulver and Mr. Holte are working on this right now. · Senior Virtual Class Night – May 19 at 7:00 PM will be held virtually. Scheduled links will be shared as soon as scholarship selection has been completed. Those links will turn on at 7:00 PM that evening. · Senior Community Parade – May 22nd at 7:00. More information will be given as this event is still in the planning stages. · Graduation Ceremony – Will be held at Stanley High School Gymnasium at 2:00 PM. A link for the live stream of the ceremony will be sent out closer to Graduation Day. Thank you again for your patience during this time! It is certainly a time of uncharted waters for us all. We will keep you updated through this planning. We are communicating with your senior most days through Microsoft Teams and Remind. Thank you! Sincerely, Mrs. Sorenson

We’ll be having drop-off and pick-up days on the weekdays beginning May 14th through May 21st. During this time, you’ll be able to drop off any library books, textbooks, and devices (with cords) you may have. You’ll also be able to pick up your child’s personal belongings. We’ll have people available between 8:00 am through 6:00 pm on the days listed above. High school families will drive up to the front door of the high school and someone will bring your items out to you. Elementary families, if the weather is nice on the 14th and 15th, we’ll have outside stations set up according to grade level on the south side of the elementary school. You’ll be able to drive up to the grade level you need for easy pick up of your child’s belongings. There will be someone to help at each grade level. That is where you’ll drop off your books and/or technology devices as well. When dropping of a device, the cord must be with it, and there will be a sheet for you to sign stating you’ve dropped it off. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, we’ll have items inside and will bring them out to you at the front door. We’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for your cooperation and support during our distance learning experience. You’ve done an incredible job with all that has been expected of you, and we all appreciate your dedication to your children’s learning.

Live your life
SOAR Video and Homework....Dare to Define Yourself through growth: 1 - Check-in with yourself...How are you feeling right now? Name those feelings, acknowledge those feelings. Then text, call, snap, OR message a family member or a friend and ask them how they are feeling...Do not accept "good" or "okay" as an answer. Say, "I really want to know, how ARE you?" Then listen with the passion that you want someone to listen to you. 2 - Write down on a piece of paper or in your notes on your phone or list in your head the disappointments you are facing on this day. Name them. Acknowledge them. Sit in the disappointment for a moment. 3 - Name at least ONE thing you are thankful for right now. 4 - Decide how and what you are going to do to have a positive effect on those around you each day. HINT: You could use the Blue Jay "Live Your Best Life" Challenge for ideas! https://youtu.be/dhkQaP9rO5c
