5/6 grade Elementary BBB practice will start on Monday, March 16 @ 5:30 in the High School lunch room. There will be a brief parent meeting where coaches Lucas Colbenson and Drew Nichols can hand out and present information for the upcoming season. After the meeting, practice will be held until 7pm in the High School Gym.

With the ongoing concerns about Coronavirus, we want you to know that the safety and health of our students, staff, and community is one of our top priorities. We will continue to do what we can to try to stop the spread of disease causing germs and ask for the parents and community to help in this endeavor.
The Stanley School District custodial staff is cleaning and sanitizing commonly touched surfaces on a regular basis throughout the day. Disinfecting wipes have also been distributed to all teachers to help clean surfaces in classrooms throughout the day. Buses will be disinfected on a regular basis.
We are also encouraging students and staff to wash hands more frequently with soap and water for 20 seconds at a time. We ask that parents and community members help follow these practices as well and also encourage students to regularly wash their hands for at least 20 seconds with soap and water while they are not at school.
We ask that students, staff, and community members that are sick to please not come to the schools. Those experiencing a fever (100.3 °F or higher) and other flu/respiratory illness symptoms should not come to school. If you have questions about student attendance, please contact the building principal. Please note if an individual has a fever below 100.3 °F but have been taking medicines that help reduce fevers they should not come to school until their fever is below 100.3 °F without medication.
If the Coronavirus comes to our community, we will be in close contact with public health officials to help determine the best course of action for the school. We are hoping it doesn't become necessary, but, as seen in other communities around the country, it may become necessary for the school to close for a period of time (this decision would not be made lightly). We will also be working closely with North Dakota High School Activities Association on potential impacts to extracurricular activities.
You may have seen that some schools throughout the country are closing down school and conducting learning online. Please know that we have been told from the North Dakota Department of Public Instruction that is not an option in North Dakota - that would not count toward the number of classroom hours required by the state.

Elementary Math Tip: (Gr. K-2) Think of a number for your child to guess. After each guess, respond with the words "more," "less," "higher," or "lower." This gives your child the opportunity to learn different math vocabulary and helps your child associate number words with counting sequence.
