Mrs. Essler’s anatomy class created this model of a brain cell or neuron. Students scan the QR codes to learn more about the organelles of the cell.

Our parents are the best! Mrs. Jarmin got a lot of parent participation for her Take Your Parent to PE Week. Thank you for staying involved, parents!!

Mr. Hellman’s 4th grade has been learning about the causes of the American Revolution. To help the class learn, they have been paying taxes to help offset the war with Queen Jasmynn of Jazlandia. Last Friday Jasmynn attacked King Hellman’s classroom with several propaganda posters. King Hellman’s colonists responded by turning the posters into paper airplanes and attacking Jasmynn. So far the colonists are enjoying the game but this may change as more and more unfair taxes are introduced!

Mrs. Sorenson, our high school counselor...short in stature but big in heart.

Mrs. Faul’s class had fun using tissue paper and their fine motor skills for art today! Happy Fall! 🍂🍁

Elementary Math Tip: Baking requires math! You'll be multiplying to double a recipe, dividing to half a recipe, using fractions to measure out 1/2 a cup or 1/4 of a teaspoon. What a tasty and hands-on way to learn about fractions! On a more basic level, how many chocolate chips does it take to fill 1/2 cup? How many do you think will fill one cup? Baking with your child is a wonderful way to introduce/reinforce math skills in a hands-on environment.

Essler's Biology students have been learning about radioactive decay and the half-life of isotopes. They performed two simulations - radioactive cubes and water tube decay. They then had to graph the data they collected to determine the half-life of their models.
