Stanley School and buses will be 2 hours late on Monday, March 4. Buses will run where possible.

It wouldn't be track season without changes to our schedule before our first practice!
No practice tomorrow morning due to weather.
Updated practice schedule for this week:
7:00 am at the high school Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday

Congratulations to our Honesty winners for the month of February! Students in grades K-6 have been working on our character trait of honesty, and discussing scenarios when it's hard to be honest. Awesome job to our winners! Next up is Cooperation - how we can work together to reach shared goals!

Our 3rd graders completed their paper airplanes after using I-statements to describe feelings like worried, anxious, distracted, and nervous. Students filled in their I-statement like this: "I feel ____________ when ____________. I would like ____________." Great flying, bluejays!

Any students who will be in grades 10-12 in the fall of 2024:
Mountrail-Williams Electric Cooperative (MWEC) is excited to partner with Bismarck Public Schools Career Academy for the second year in a row! This is an exciting opportunity for high school students to participate in an elective program focused on lab-based electronics and electrical skills. These classes offer a hands-on introduction to skills required to be a Lineman. It is open to students going into their Sophomore, Junior and Senior year of high school.
Pick up application forms in the main office at the high school!

Students that are in K-6 and participating in the Kids Heart Challenge/Jump Rope for Heart need to have their fundraising envelops turned in by the end of the day on March 1st, 2024. If you did your fundraising online please disregard this notice as it will automatically be taken care.

For Valentine's Day, Math 7 students built & decorated Valentine prisms (except a few who were determined to use cylinders & cones 😊). They created the corresponding net for the solid, sketched the solid & net, measured dimensions, and described & calculated total surface area & volume. ♥️

It's the final day of National FFA Week! Help us celebrate by wearing your blue and gold, check out how we are celebrating!

Students in Mrs. Stafslien’s Social Studies classes have been learning about Ellis Island and the immigrants who came to this country for a better opportunity many years ago! They wrote pretend postcards to family left behind, discussed items they would need to bring with them, packed suitcases with things essential for the trip, and researched the Statue of Liberty and her symbolism of freedom. 🗽🧳
The best reward as a teacher is when your students WANT to learn more! Axel recently contacted his great- grandmother from Sweden who came over to America on a ship. He recorded the phone conversation and shared it with the class. What an amazing story! The kids realized they are a part of living history!
So cool!💙
