Please read the following message from Coach Leith:
Stanley Blue Jays Football
Good morning/afternoon.
Appears some misinformation and/or incomplete information floating around about the BlueJay football program.
Rumors of my Firing, Resignation, or Death (sorry Mark Twain) have been greatly exaggerated.
After a lot of discussion last month and end of season it was decided-agreed that now may a good time to transition positions. And maybe should back up even farther. Day 1 when I took the Lead, it was discussed that this is only a transition position. We need to work toward building the program up- both players and coaches. I believe my words “I'm too old to be the long term face of BlueJay FB” IE-takes a lot of time and energy to do this.
This is not new. We had this same discussion in Spring of 2024. It was decided then that the timing was not quite ready. Fast forward to 2025, this timing we agree is different/better.
Maybe too many nuts and bolts in that info, but I think its helpful to remember the big picture. For 2025 we are intending/hopeful that all of the '24 coaches are back. I intend to CONTINUE coaching this fall as an assistant.
Thank you for all the community support. I've said it before and will continue to say it, I never doubted it for a minute. I did NOT think that you folks would be so passionate about the change.
I should have known. Sorry, sum that up with one short story. My two high school- a while ago- daughters, both very active in Basketball, Volleyball, Band, Choir, were asked by my brother their favorite thing about high school? Response- “definitely football” We're passionate about our FB. Take that Dom Izzo.
Again, thank a ton for the support. All is good with Stanley FB. Turn that passion toward OUR kids...... Basketball, wrestling, cheer, speech, drama, music, etc etc. See you at next event. Won't see you this fall as I'll still have my back to you on the sidelines.
Congrats Coach Lorenz!!
Go BlueJays

Students at the high school building will not be allowed to use their personal iPads in classes. Our school is able to provide the proper technology for them to utilize in class for their learning. The various apps on personal iPads are becoming a distraction to the classroom learning. If you have any questions please call the high school directly. Thank you.

Reminder of our FAFSA Night coming up tomorrow, Thursday, January 9 at 6:00 in the multipurpose room. You will need a computer. If you do not have one, I will have devices for you to use.

Update: Prom is Saturday, April 5, 2025.

Stanley sixth graders attended the annual Marketplace for Kids event in Minot today. They attended classes on innovation, problem solving, creativity, and entrepreneurship. Marketplace for Kids also provides an opportunity for students to showcase their own business ideas. Great job today, Blue Jays! (More photos in comments.)

Reminder of the Junior Student/Parent Class Meeting in the cafeteria tonight (January 7th) at 6:00pm. We will discuss Prom and After Prom Party. After Prom Party is not an entity of the school and is entirely planned by parents. Your help in planning a fun and safe evening for your child is greatly appreciated.

As the morning progresses, you will see patrol cars from the ND Highway Patrol parked in our high school lot. All is well. They will be utilizing a room upstairs for training purposes.

There will be a junior class meeting for both parents and junior students on 1/7/2025 at 6pm in the high school cafeteria to discuss Prom/After Prom and Junior-senior banquet. Your attendance and assistance in organizing these events for our students is greatly appreciated.

🎄 Aryanna C., a National Honor Society member from Stanley High, completed an inspiring service project by mentoring 4th-6th graders to plan a Christmas party for Rosen Place Senior Living Home. Together, they raised funds, gathered supplies, and brought holiday cheer through cookie decorating and games. Thanks to Bravera Bank and BNC for their support! One student said, "This was so much fun—I want to do it again next year!" The cycle of community service continues! 💖
