This week Stanley 4th graders learned about the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11th. Students were shown a video describing what happened that day and then took time to discuss the day and ask questions. The classes then used a virtual field trip app to tour the twin towers before and after the attacks. Students were able to visit the 9/11 memorial. The 4th graders were also told about Stanley’s own Ann Nelson who lost her life that day. After learning about Ann’s bucket list they decided they would help to cross off one of her items. The class decorated rocks with inspirational sayings and drawings that will be placed around town to make someone smile. Anyone who finds one of these rocks is encouraged to snap a photo and email it to Mr. Hellman to share with the classes (jacob.hellman@k12.nd.us).

The Ag 2 students have had a busy week of demonstrating agricultural tasks in class. The student’s demonstrations ranged from planting seeds and staining wood to routine vehicle maintenance and grilling burgers. The students enjoyed showing off their talents and they all did a fantastic job!

Seniors went to futurepalooza at Minot State today. They listened to as speaker share his story along with the best tips for their future...it includes a whole lot of grit! Then they were able to talk to experts in different career pathways and representatives from colleges. It was a great day!

When you are working hard and the rain doesn’t stop!

Mrs. Sandeen's second grade class would like to thank those who sponsored them to get a Scholastic book to take home each month! They were very excited and happy to receive their September book today!

Today Mr. Hellman's 4th grade played a scavenger hunt game with their vocabulary words. Students had to find a hidden QR code that gave them a clue about their vocab word and then had to write that word down. There were even a few jokes hidden with the real questions!
