Bus #29 (Brence Wilson's bus) is running about 10-15 minutes late this morning.
Bus #17 (Alan Tillinghast's bus) is running about 15 minutes late this morning. This is the bus that makes stops in the John Rian addition (Adeline Drive, Prairie Drive, etc.).
Today Mrs. Sorenson met with seniors for Red Ribbon Week to talk about the dangers of abusing alcohol and drugs. They participated in stations that taught about alcohol use and abuse. Seniors also heard the story of Taylor Berhow by watching the following video:

Tomorrow (10/31) the annual Halloween parade will start at 1:30pm, but we will not be exiting the building this year. Kindergarten parents are invited to stand in the lunchroom or main office. Kindergarten students will start the parade by walking through those areas. All other parents are welcome to watch in the gym.
Our winter supplies of extra clothing have been dwindled down over the last week. We are in short supply of gloves, boots, and snow pants. We still have lots of hats and a few coats. If you have any old/surplus snow gear such as gloves, snow pants, or boots, we can put them to good use.
Stanley School and buses will be two hours late tomorrow (Friday, October 27). Buses will run where possible.

There will be no school in Stanley today (Thursday, October 26).
The District 16 volleyball tournament scheduled to start tomorrow has been postponed. The tournament will now be played in Kenmare on Friday, Saturday, and Monday.
School will dismiss at 1:45 today. Buses will run this afternoon. Tomorrow morning (Oct. 26) there will be a 2 hour late start with buses running where possible.
Two more students are joining the challenge to support Jacob! Please drop off your donations at the Stanley High School office. Due to a scheduling conflict, our hair cutting event will be held on Friday, November 3rd. Help us reach our goal as we share our support and love with our classmate!

As part of our Red Ribbon Week activities, SRO Wilson and the Stanley Police Department will have their K-9 unit in the schools on Thursday, October 26th and Friday, October 27th. Students will have the opportunity to see the dog and handlers in the school setting. If your child has allergies or a need to opt-out of this activity, please let the school know.
