Today in Mr. Hellman’s Social Studies class students wrapped up their unit on beef in ND. They have been learning about products that come from beef so it was only natural to play Beefo! (Bingo) with marshmallows as markers. A tasty time was had by all.

☘️ STEM DAY! ☘️ Mrs. Stafslien’s class was challenged to make LEPRECHAUN TRAPS using the STEM methods. They had to design a plan, engineer their traps, and put them to the test! They only had a few supplies to use and many improvements were made. They had so much fun and did such a great job! I hope they can catch one! 🪤

Essler's 7th grade Life Science has been learning about the flow of energy in a system. We've explored the relationship between photosynthesis and cellular respiration, specifically. This week your scientists investigated how glucose affects the rate of cellular respiration. On Wednesday they made yeast beads, it was a pretty cool process! Then today we used the beads to put in respirometers that they assembled to measure the amount of CO2 (carbon dioxide) produced in our Control (just water + yeast beads) versus our Experiment (glucose + yeast beads). #esslerscience
